July meeting minutes were not read at this meeting.

 

Financial Report: Given by Kathy Kindall. Rally in the Alley recap, Fair concessions recap. Lora Fetzer motioned to approve financial report, Donna Ditch seconded.

 

Mr. C Update:

  • 9/1 Competition meeting 7pm Band room
  • Kings Island competition will not be an overnight trip
  • 3 people from Akron helping percussion
  • Car wash at CarQuest on Friday 1-6pm tentatively
  • Monday practice longer during school (5-515pm)
  • No practice on Labor Day
  • Band pictures on 8/18
  • Band composite pictures on 10/6

 

Cavalcade update: (to date)

  • 15 trophy sponsors
  • 400 patron dollars
  • 3 good luck notes
  • Items need to be in by 8/21
  • Basket items need to be in by 9/4

 

Fundraisers:

  • Scrip Card- Contract signed but Barb needs the code and password
  • Donuts- Approved; begin selling first home game
  • Sales Table- Sell novelties at home games and Cavalcade
  • Corn Festival Summary- Concessions update; lessons learned and menu ideas for next year.

 

New Tent:

  • New tarps on old tent
  • Purchased new tent
  • Renting it out; Need a ‘Tent Committee’ to go and set it up. We do not want the renters to set up the tent themselves; need to determine rental price.

Uniforms:  Sample uniform is in; need to review it

Spaghetti Dinner:  Need to schedule another one

Mansfield Reformatory:  Possible field trip?
