Attended: Andrew Winter, Mark Winrod, Paula Winrod, Louise Reed, Dorcas Kish, Karen Gingrich, Kent Davis, Michael Green, Tina Bundy, Sue Filak, Jennifer Bryant, Dave Drogell, Kevin Kellerman, Carmen Ethington
Meeting called to order: 1907
Meeting Minutes for September 14, 2020:
- No corrections or additions to either minutes
- Motion to approve Carmen Ethington; seconded Karen Gingrich; motion carried
Financial Report:
- Reviewed finance report: motion to approve Dorcas Kish, seconded Paula Winrod; motion carried
Music Director Report:
- Senior night – senior parents need to purchase tickets, escort as usual, no flowers; music selected includes a senior feature and guard feature
- Stadium Review – plan to do in October, on a Friday night football game is away, in the stadium
- Homecoming – investigate if homecoming activities can be moved to pregame so band can perform show at half time
- Senior Banners – moved banner expense to school budget; hanging up in stadium
- OMEA Membership – request for boosters to pay the annual membership for Mr. Winter and Mr. Greene; less than $300.00 – request approved
- Changing enter/exit of stadium – go back to normal
- Instrument Masks – will need to replicate for CMS band
Fundraisers:
- Wrapping up cheese/sausage and band swag fundraisers
- Investigating other fundraisers that can be conducted online – different ideas discussed
Old Business:
- Football games update – covered under Music Director’s report
New Business:
- Mr. Michael Green – music educator at CMS; musical kudos reviewed; graduate of Kent State University
