Treasurer’s Report provided by Kent Davis (dropped off):

* Financial Statement of Activity from August 1, 2022 – June 12, 2023 & Report of  Expenditures by Vendor Summary, Statement of Financial Position, and list of missing receipts was provided, approved

Music Director’s Report:

* Mr. Winter announced Mr. Favalon is officially married, shared pic, indicated Memorial Day parades   went well, informed us that Harley is no longer available to work with our Front Ensemble so we’ll   need a new instructor, proposed Abby Washinger, asked for update on Chaperone jerseys/shirts and   April told him that Jason Popiel is working on it… she gave him the name and number of a local   contact that could help with design and printing. Also discussed CMA providing waters for 4th of   July parade in Chippewa Lake.

* Mr. Winter asked CMA to approve Field Commander Camp for Hannah ($300) and Asa ($735),   motion made, seconded and approved

* Mr. Winter approached the subject of instructor pay. Their current rate of pay is $9.00/hour, despite   having thought that we voted $10.00/hour previously. There was an open discussion about rate of   pay, current minimum wage, etc. Paula indicated that we’re currently not even paying them   minimum wage and suggested an increase. April made a motion to increase pay of percussion/guard   instructors to $11.00/hour, motion seconded and approved.

Fundraisers provided by April Percy:

* April and Mr. Winter locked in the fall cookie dough and cheese/sausage fundraiser to begin Sept. 5.   All Middle School band students and both band and choir high school students to participate. * Paula entered volunteer openings in Charms for the Medina County Fair (July 31 – August 6, 2023) –   April to send blast email with links for sign up ASAP or upon receipt of new roster for 23-24 school   year.

Old Business:

* April brought in the 8 new drink Hawker trays for everyone to look over. Mark asked Mr. Winter   about possibly adding a decal or design to the front of them. Mr. Winter will check with his wife.

New Business addressed by Mark Winrod/April Percy:

* Cavalcade Planning Meeting up next.

* April again requested a key to the CMA PO Box so that she could collect Disney payments that may   get made over the summer. Paula said she needed to keep her key because she’s handling Cavalcade   and needs to collect funds/paperwork being mailed to PO Box. She indicated Kent would request   another key for April.

* April addressed the need to assist Jen Bryant in her Colts Culinary Crew duties this year. Jen is   backing away from this responsibility as her daughter is a Senior this year and Jen’s job   responsibilities have increased, making it more difficult for her to head up the Crew. April proposed

that we assign meal prep. to individual families who may want to volunteer in that capacity. Jen will   keep a couple of the meals, April will take a meal or two and the rest will get posted for volunteers to   sign up and take over. April’s hope is that someone will volunteer to provide a meal for the band and   then enjoy it so much that they may be interested in taking over Colts Culinary Crew next year.

Each meal would have a budget (budget to be determined by # of marching band students for the   season X $35 divided by number of meals needed). Jen solicited donations for 1 meal already. April   will head up arranging volunteers for meals.

Meeting Adjourned: Meeting adjourned at 6:57 p.m.

Next Meeting: Monday, August 14, 2023, will do Cavalcade planning meeting same date
