7:00 Meeting called to order

August meeting minutes were read by Donna Ditch. Motion to accept minutes given by Lora Fetzer, seconded by Dave Robbins.

 

Financial report: Given by Kathy Kindall.

-  Discussion regarding Cavalcade shirts vs. section shirts and separating the incoming money for these for better recordkeeping.

-  Motion to rent a post office box at Lodi Post Office by Kim Schreiber, seconded by Crystal James. Motioned Accepted.

 

Mr. C. Update:

  • 4 competitions this year

  • 10/17 Claymont
  • 10/24 Brunswick (if needed)
  • 9/24 Rally at the Leaf (will be gathering volunteers)
  • 9/25 Senior Night
  • 10/9 Homecoming & 8th graders will join band that night
  • Cedar Point is weekend of Homecoming (10/10)
  • Jazz Ensemble playing at new parent dinner (be there at 5:30)

 

Cavalcade Update:

  • 29 patron donations $825
  • 25 trophies $1575
  • 49 good luck notes $245
  • 101 ads $3035
  • Send in ideas for improvements/changes for next year’s Cavalcade

 

Misc:

  • Extra peanuts- check with Athletics if we can hand out the peanuts on the way out of the gates after the next home game.
  • Discussion about what to do with the left over liquor from the Rally in the Alley.
  • Web site updates- Need someone to craft the information for the website and for the newspaper; looking for volunteers.

 

Fundraisers:

  • Great Lake Scrip Card- Currently on hold
  • Donut Sales- Going very well
  • Christmas Wreaths- Wreath sales for Christmas; Crystal James forming a committee
  • Smith’s Cash Cow coupon book- sell coupon book for $5.00, we pay $2.00 and need to order lots of 100. Kathy Kindall motions to do this fundraiser; Lisa McGraw seconded. Motion accepted. Dave Robbins chairperson.
  • Gardner Pie fundraiser-
  • Malley’s-
  • Spaghetti Dinner- Do a dinner before the stadium review. Reserve dinners, and also take walk in’s (stadium review is 11/9). People can stay for dinner, then go to the concert, then enjoy the desserts people bring in for after the concert.

 

Tent Rental:

  • $75 for old tent (they set up), $125 for old tent (we set up), $150 for new tent (we set up), $225 for both tents (we set up)
